Our People: Who is RWG?

RWG employs a world-class network of diverse individuals from all over the country, with a broad spectrum of skills. We seamlessly integrate our experience in marketing and advertising, social psychology, cultural anthropology, journalism and creative writing, information architecture, graphic design, and event production to enable our clients to transform their companies and their people.

As Founding Partner of the Russell Williams Group, Brenda Williams has over 20 years of strategic planning, branding and creative problem-solving experience that enables her to develop long-term strategic solutions to challenging business issues.  "We look for ingenious ways to solve tough business problems, and bring those solutions to life within companies," says Williams.

Ms. Williams espouses a unique belief that "strategy is human".  As such, she and her team collaborate with executives to develop pre-emptive business strategies that are internalized and acted upon. Her unique approach fuses rigor and analysis with creativity and intuition to develop groundbreaking results.

Engagements include global corporate decision-making initiatives such as vision development, corporate positioning, internal branding, and identifying and developing growth initiatives.  Client experience includes The Walt Disney Company, Cummins Engine, Procter & Gamble, Starcom Mediavest Group, Lenscrafters, American Express, Hyatt Hotels Corporation and a vast array of others.

Prior to forming RWG, Brenda served 14 years at Leo Burnett global advertising agency as Founder of the Lab, a freestanding subsidiary specializing in brand consulting.  She also spent 2 1/2 years at McKinsey & Company, an international management consultancy firm.

Ms. Williams graduated with honors from the University of Colorado, with a double major in Communications and Psychology.  Additionally, she has conducted graduate studies at Northwestern University as well as executive studies at the University of Chicago and Harvard University.  She has given many keynote addresses and is featured in the University of Colorado's business textbook, "Profiles in American Enterprise."

Brenda also was featured in the November 1998 issue of Fast Company Magazine in an article, "Twice the Career, Half the Time." Additionally she has participated as a guest speaker for subsequent Fast Company and American Marketing Association events.
